The initiative, marked by a dynamic symposium at Yaba College of Technology, brought together over 200 secondary school students to promote literacy and inspire young minds.

Leo Modupe Adeniyi, President of the Ikeja Metro Leo Club, stated that the event aimed to tackle the pressing issue of out-of-school children, citing insecurity, poverty, and infrastructural deficits as major barriers. “Our symposium aims to inspire students to see education as a tool for change, encouraging collaboration, civic responsibility, and innovation,” she stressed.

Speakers at the event urged the government to prioritize free, quality education and improve funding, infrastructure, and security to keep children in school. By investing in education and youth empowerment, Nigeria can unlock its full potential and build a brighter future for all.
