Renowned sports brand strategist, football business expert, media entrepreneur, and SuperSport analyst, Ojeikere Aikhoje, is set to receive the prestigious Award of Excellence from the University of Benin Alumni Association (UBAA), Lagos Branch, today, Saturday, June 13, 2026, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to sports development, media, and brand communications in Nigeria.

The award presentation will take place at the Sheba Centre, Lagos, as part of activities marking the 105th Council Meeting of the University of Benin Alumni Association Lagos Branch, which has brought together distinguished alumni, business leaders, professionals, and notable personalities from across the country.

Aikhoje, a distinguished alumnus of the University of Benin, has built a strong reputation within Nigeria’s sports industry through years of innovation, strategic leadership, and commitment to promoting excellence in sports business and media.

He is the Founder of Sports Industry Awards Nigeria, Co-Founder of the League Bloggers Awards (LBA), Publisher of SportBusiness+Brand Magazine, and Chief Executive Officer of MatchRoom Sports and Media Limited. Through these platforms, he has consistently championed initiatives aimed at recognizing and celebrating outstanding achievements across the Nigerian sports ecosystem.
