ACAMB Unveils New Identity, Embracing Broader Role in Banking Industry
By Blessing Umebali
ACAMB, the Association of Corporate Affairs Managers of Banks, has officially rebranded to the Association of Corporate Communication and Marketing Professionals in Banks, retaining its acronym. This change was announced at the association’s 2025 retreat in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, from November 6 to 9.
The rebranding symbolizes a strategic expansion of ACAMB’s mandate, now encompassing marketing, stakeholder engagement, sustainability, and reputation management, in addition to corporate communication.
According to ACAMB President Rasheed Bolarinwa, this new identity reflects the association’s evolution into a coalition of innovators and leaders who shape narratives, influence trust, and connect banking to the Nigerian people.
Key aspects of the rebranding include:
- New Identity: A broader focus on marketing and stakeholder engagement, positioning ACAMB members as bridge-builders, storytellers, and reputation stewards.
- Institutional Maturity: The reform represents a forward-looking vision, with a newly inaugurated Board of Trustees and a reviewed and ratified constitution.
- Modernization: The changes aim to ensure ACAMB’s relevance in the modern communications landscape, amplifying brand resilience, advancing inclusion, and shaping a positive narrative for Nigeria’s banking industry.
This development marks a significant milestone for ACAMB, as it seeks to strengthen its role in Nigeria’s financial sector. The rebranding effort is part of a broader trend, with other organizations like Walmart and Royal Albert Hall also refreshing their brand identities to stay relevant and modern.
