Serving with compassion: Ikeja Crystal Lions Club embarks on community development projects

Ikeja Crystal Lions Club, District 404B2 Nigeria has presented Lion Dr. (Apostle) Tola Olukilede as its 7th president, marking a new chapter in the organization’s commitment to community service.

Speaking at the fundraising for humanitarian causes and Public Presentation of the president , Club Officers Installation as well as new members induction in Lagos, Lion Olukilede emphasized the importance of community development and encouraged fellow Lion members to participate in remodeling of Orile Agege Dental Clinic infrastructure for the benefits of mankind.

He also highlighted the organization’s goal of making the world a more lovable place.

In his words, “As Lions, we are leaders who serve with kindness, compassion, and generosity. We are the change-makers, the problem-solvers, and the hope-bringers. Let us continue to work together to make our communities better, one service project at a time.

“Remember, every time we serve, we bring kindness and compassion, change and hope. Let us make our mark on the world and create a brighter future for all”, he explained.

He noted that the club’s legacy project in partnership with Heal the World Mission Movement & Tola Olukilede Foundation is a N50million remodeling of the Dental Clinic of Orile-Agege General Hospital, Oke-Odo, Lagos.

“This project allows us to serve our community and make a lasting impact for generations yet unborn to see. It is all about showing love by touching lives to give them meaning. This project is aimed at improving the health of the masses. I will be honoured with your financial support towards making this project a reality.

He also highlighted the organization’s goal of making the world a more lovable place.

In his remarks, Lion Tolulope Ayodeji Senbanjo, the District Governor, 404B2 Nigeria advised President Olukilede to lead by example, carrying his team members along and demonstrating leadership.

Senbanjo reiterated that the Lions Club is a charity organization focused on helping the public and less privileged individuals through community development projects, such as the remodeling of the Orile Agege Dental Clinic Hospital.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including Chief Sir Micheal Ade Ojo, Chairman of Toyota Nigeria and Founder of Elizade University.
