THE POWER OF WOMEN!!!
In a bid to actualize the Theme of the World Intellectual Property Day 2023- WOMEN and IP; Accelerating Innovation and Creativity, IP Radio, Nigeria’s Premier Intellectual Property Online Radio Station is introducing the WOMEN SUPPORTING WOMEN IN IP (NIGERIA) Initiative.
This initiative is based on the tested fact that innovation and creativity does not occur in a vacuum and so women who have made their mark in the field of INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY Worldwide are in a vantage position to accelerate the progress of other women in achieving innovation and creativity.
Over the Past few years, IP Radio has related with very cerebral women in Top and Middle Level Executive Positions in the ubiquitous field of Intellectual Property .These women are in the Academia, Legal Practice, Legal Advisory, Para Legal, Corporate Organizations , Law Firms ,Research Institutes, Anti –Counterfeiting Organizations ,OAPI , WIPO, Regulatory Organizations etc.
The Women Supporting Women in IP (Nigeria) Initiative is aimed at being a rallying point for Women who have had a successful career in IP GLOBALLY to pull up other women who need their assistance in a structured and focused manner;
It is meant to help women ;
1.Expand their access to IP opportunities to sharpen their innovative and creative appetite.
2.Tap into a global network to actively promote each others interest in the workplace as well as in life as they foster advancement in their IP career journey.
3.Access Mentorship in IP
4.Have access to a GLOBAL support Network and Support System.
5.Engender friendship that will promote innovation and creativity amongst women via sharing of experiences.
6 Build an IP ecosystem to develop their innovative and creative capabilities.
In furtherance to this, amongst other congregational activities , a hybrid event will be held in September 2023 where WOMEN of various rank and file will share IP knowledge ,Experiences and Network with one another .
