FirstBank, Nigeria ‘s oldest service brand and Africa’s leading financial Institution, established since 1894 has unveiled its astounding campaign ‘Giant In You’, thematic brand campaign not only to commemorate the bank’s 130 years of nurturing growth and uplifting communities but to also communicate its stirring commitment and positive impacts in empowering its customers, employees, business partners and stakeholders to unleash their full potentials.

The captivating experience was held over the weekend at Ebony Life Cinema, Victoria Island as the ‘Giant In You’ brand campaign goes live today, Monday 15, July, 2024. It’s all about striding into the future and the bank is saying “come take giant strides with us and watch your business scale.”

Olayinka Ijabiyi, the Head of Brand and Stakeholders Management during his presentation reiterated that the campaign is not just about First Bank but about recognizing and nurturing the giant potential in every individual. He highlighted First Bank’s commitment to providing the necessary business support, financial expertise, and growth solutions to help every customer achieve their giant dreams.

According to him, First Bank’s 130-year journey, symbolized by the campaign, stands as a testament to its enduring legacy and commitment to fostering greatness in everyone. Noting that the ‘Giant In You’ campaign embodies FirstBank’s mission, which is encapsulated in the phrase “You First,” aims to inspire, empower, and enable individuals to transcend the ordinary and achieve giant successes.

Speaking also at the campaign launch, Ismail Omamegbe, Head of Corporate Communications, at FirstBank, maintained that the bank’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) would continuously be uphold. “The campaign is not about celebrating our legacy; it is about celebrating the achievements and aspirations of our customers. Every individual has the potential to be a giant, and we are honoured to be a part of their journey, providing the financial tools and assistance they need to turn their dreams into reality. Earlier Abimbola Meshinoye, the Head of Brand Strategy and Financial Planning at FirsBank emphasized that the campaign is built on the belief that there is a giant within everyone—staff, customers, and stakeholders alike—waiting to be realized.

She said, “this campaign aims to showcase how First Bank empowers and supports its stakeholders’ success stories, which in turn becomes the bank’s success stories.

She also underscored the crucial role of the media in societal development, especially in disseminating information, fostering education and providing entertainment that shapes societal trends. Meshinoye remarked on the media’s capacity to shape societal perspectives and mobilize people, aligning with First Bank’s goals of fostering success among its stakeholders.
