The world will produce more women in all works of life if women keep supporting women. As a trailblazer whose achievement is inspiring, Tychus advised that for future leaders aspiring to break barriers and get to leadership positions they should believe in consistency, resilience, commitment, determination, perseverance and persistency because quitters don’t win.
“Believe in yourself, keep adding knowledge and skills to garner more experience, and be strong enough to pick yourself up should you encounter setbacks on the way to success.” She stated.
As her tenure begins formally on the 1st of July, 2024, Tychus has mapped out strategies to enable her balance the cultural diversity, social and economic landscapes to ensure equitable development and representation for all nations played out and turning any challenge or challenges she may encounter into opportunities, because she believes that there is strength in diversity and would be overseeing 54 countries in Africa, attending Lions International Board meetings etc.
Recently, in one of the interviews she said, “I will try as much as possible to honour invitations from member states as approved by LCI. I have made friends across the continent as I patiently waited to assume office, I look forward to welcoming new friends into the conclave. I will be a leader who listens to the verbalized but more essentially to the unspoken word, and because I am a woman of prayers, I have implicit confidence that the bar of excellence will surely be raised.” International Director mentioned.
The convention had kindhearted Lions and Leos who came all over the world to celebrate service together in Melbourne. It’s truly a convention to remember for remarkable activities, like the international parade of Nations, which bring Lions and Leos together in friendliness, showcasing different countries attires; elections of international president and vices as well as 18 members of international board of directors, and of course with thrilling plenary sessions featuring prominent speakers just to mention few.
